Expectations for Resolving Medical Service Gaps for Residents
Sixteen new public health doctors have joined Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam, and it is expected that the medical gap for the residents will be resolved.
Previously, some health centers were unable to provide medical services as existing public health doctors recently completed their service, raising red flags for the health management of the residents.
On the 17th, the county held an appointment ceremony at the county office to welcome the new public health doctors, consisting of 9 general practitioners, 1 dentist, and 6 oriental medicine doctors.
Until now, the county has been making great efforts to fill the medical gap, with the remaining public health doctors, including Health Center Director Shim Yoon-kyung, conducting rotating medical services.
A county official explained, "With the deployment of the new public health doctors this time, the health center has also breathed a sigh of relief."
County Governor Lee Sang-geun said, "I welcome all of you who have been assigned to our county today to provide professional health services," adding, "I hope you will bring vitality to Goseong-gun, a medically underserved area, and treat the residents with care as if they were your own family."
