Dwelling-YTN Join Hands for Digitalization of Seoul City Smart Station

Utilizing the Seoul Smart Station Platform Operated by Dwelling to Enhance Convenience for Public Transportation Users

Establishing a Foundation for Sustainability and Effective Promotion of the Smart Station Project

Providing High-Quality Public Interest Information Such as News and Advertisements through Digital Signage

Dwelling (CEO Jeon Jeonghwan), a smart station platform company operating smart shelters in Seoul areas including Hongdae, Hapjeong, Sungnyemun, Konkuk University, Magok, Cheonho, and Gangnam, has joined hands with YTN (CEO Woo Janggyun), a 24-hour news channel, to benefit citizens using public transportation.

On the 10th, the two companies signed a strategic business agreement at YTN headquarters in Mapo-gu, Seoul, to implement the ‘Seoul Smart Station.’

The two companies agreed to integrate YTN content into the Seoul Smart Station platform and jointly carry out digital outdoor advertising projects, aiming to develop it into the nation’s leading ESG platform.

The Smart Station functions as an air purification space protecting public health from road pollutants, heatwaves, and cold spells, and also monitors the surrounding air environment in real-time through IoT-based measurements.

Selected as the pilot operator for the Seoul Smart Station project in 2021, Dwelling currently operates shelters in major Seoul areas such as Hongdae, Hapjeong, Sungnyemun, Konkuk University, Magok, and Cheonho, with plans to expand to all central bus lanes in Seoul and transition to digital.

Through this strategic partnership, Dwelling and YTN will jointly plan the Smart Station project and promote it through broadcasting.

Since its establishment in 2015, Dwelling has gained industry attention with its air care solution business and solidified its position as a specialized smart station company by collaborating with prominent local governments.

Currently, it operates approximately 1,200 shelters including general bus stops, smart stations, and Gangnam-gu’s ‘Green Smart Shelter,’ holding about 4,500 advertising spaces, making it the largest outdoor advertising operator in Korea.

In November last year, Dwelling signed an agreement with the Mongolian government, opening the door to exporting the ‘K-Smart Station.’

A representative of Dwelling stated, “Furthermore, we are preparing for an IPO based on business diversification through transformation into a platform operator, revenue growth, and ESG management.”
