Gangnam-gu Hosts Social Economy Market Cherry Blossom Festa

On the 6th and 7th, six companies participate in the lobby on the 1st floor of the district office, showcasing flower tea, accessories, and more developed for the cherry blossom season

Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seongmyeong) will hold the '2023 Social Economy Market Cherry Blossom Festa' in the lobby on the 1st floor of the district office on the 6th and 7th.

Social economy enterprises are companies that contribute to solving social problems by providing services or jobs to vulnerable groups while engaging in economic activities, including social enterprises, cooperatives, village enterprises, and self-support enterprises. There are a total of 431 such companies in Gangnam-gu, and this festa was planned to raise awareness of social economy enterprises.

Social Economy Market Held Last Year

Six companies are participating in this market: ▲ Coffeejia (coffee, coffee beans) ▲ 29il Co., Ltd. (female hygiene products) ▲ Project 1424 (diffusers, perfumes) ▲ Jaei Crafts (accessories) ▲ Ganghwa Silk Road (flower tea, ceramics) ▲ Hand in Hand (scarves, alpaca dolls).

Visitors can find flower tea, accessories, spring scarves, handmade soaps, and more, developed and prepared by the companies for the cherry blossom season. Additionally, the Gangnam-gu Social Economy Promotion Support Center, which is organizing the event, will hold a survey to raise awareness of the social economy and will give cookies to the first 50 people each day on a first-come, first-served basis.

Before the market opens, a pre-reservation discount event will be held from the 4th to the 5th, allowing customers to purchase items at a 7-48% discounted price. Customers can check the event items on the center’s website, place orders by phone, and pick up their purchases at the market on the event day.
