Record-Breaking Popularity Sparks Buzz Over Applications and Document Announcements

A netizen who submitted an application for Hyundai Motor Group's open recruitment for production positions made headlines by sending a direct message in the Hyundai Motor recruitment alert messenger chat.

On the 31st, a post titled "I was rejected by Hyundai Motor and sent a message, and I got a reply" was uploaded on an online community.

Netizen A, who submitted an application for Hyundai Motor's production position recruitment, revealed the conversation between Hyundai Motor's messenger and himself in the post. According to the image, Hyundai Motor stated, "Please check the results of the document screening for the technical position announcement on the recruitment website."

After checking the recruitment website, A found out that he had failed the document screening. Afterwards, he sent a message saying, "As an applicant who dreamed of Hyundai Motor, I was happy and joyful during the application process," and "I support the infinite development toward Hyundai Motor's future. Thank you."

Then, Hyundai Motor's messenger sent an unexpected reply. A notification window popped up saying, "The transmission was not completed successfully, please try again." Since the messages are sent collectively through the webpage, there was no receiving function.

Netizens who saw the photo reacted with comments such as, "'Emotional screening' was attempted, but I was cut off sharply," and "As expected, big companies are different."

However, A added that he was not disheartened by this incident. He said, "I was happy while preparing for job hunting after a long time. It reminded me of my twenties," and "Although a corner of my heart feels heavy, the waiting time for recruitment was an exciting moment."

Meanwhile, the results of Hyundai Motor's production position document screening were announced on the 29th. Applicants who passed the document screening are scheduled to go through the first interview, aptitude test, second interview, and physical examination by June.

The Hyundai Motor production position recruitment, held for the first time in about 10 years, attracted nationwide attention. Although the total number of recruits is 400, the recruitment announcement was viewed over 300,000 times. On online communities and social networking services (SNS), not only job seekers but also office workers and public officials posted certifications that they had submitted applications.
