Celebratory Performances by Park Chang-geun, Ailee, Norazo, and Eun Ga-eun'

Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will hold a variety of cultural and artistic events for athletes and tourists visiting Uljin during the 61st Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival, which will take place from April 21 to 24.

First, a special performance by the Gyeongbuk Provincial Symphony Orchestra will be held on April 13 at 7:30 PM in the main auditorium of the Yeonho Culture Center. Conducted by Baek Jin-woo, with over 40 orchestra members and singers Yoon Sung and Lee Eung-jin, the event promises to create a fantastic harmony delivering a hopeful message for the success of the sports festival.


The eve event of the Provincial Sports Festival, the ‘61st Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival Success Prayer Harmony Concert,’ will be held on April 20 from 7 PM at the Uljin Yeonho Sports Park soccer field.


Celebratory performances by Park Chang-geun, Ailee, Norazo, and Eun Ga-eun, along with the torch lighting ceremony and a multimedia show, are among the various side events prepared.


Additionally, on April 22 and 23, the Uljin Music Association, Uljin Entertainers Association, and Uljin Gugak Association will host various spring-themed performances at Uljin Yeonho Park, while the second-floor exhibition hall of the Yeonho Culture Center will continuously display the ‘Uljin愛 Photo and Art Exhibition,’ showcasing the beautiful landscapes of Uljin throughout the sports festival period.

Kim Jong-yeol, Director of the Culture and Tourism Division, said, “Since this is the first time in 12 years that the Provincial Sports Festival is being held here, we plan to hold special cultural and artistic events to support the athletes visiting Uljin so they can overcome their limits and achieve their desired results. We hope many residents will take interest so that the festival becomes an event where 3 million provincial residents can fully enjoy and unite.”
