Final Safety Inspection of Yeojaecheon, Gyeonghwa Station, and Public Sports Stadium
Kim Byung-su, Chief of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency, conducted a final inspection of key event venues on the 24th, ahead of the 61st Jinhae Gunhangje Festival eve, along with the Jinhae Police Chief and the Provincial Police Security Division Chief.
Chief Kim focused on safety equipment and police personnel deployment at locations where tourists mainly gather, such as Yeoja Stream, Gyeonghwa Station, and the Public Stadium.
According to the Provincial Police Agency, the organizers expect about 4.5 million visitors to attend this year’s Jinhae Gunhangje Festival, held face-to-face for the first time in four years due to the impact of COVID-19.

The Provincial Police Agency has been involved since the planning stage of the festival’s safety measures and conducted safety accident response inspections throughout the festival sites on the 15th.
On the 22nd, a comprehensive safety countermeasure meeting for the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival was held, where all functions of the Provincial Police, Jinhae officials, and others reviewed traffic management and accident prevention, addressing any shortcomings.
During the event, approximately 2,370 police personnel and crowd control vehicles such as DJ Police will be deployed on-site to prevent various accidents.
Chief Kim Byung-su stated, “We will thoroughly prepare to ensure that everyone visiting the Gunhangje Festival can safely enjoy the cherry blossom festival without any gaps in crowd safety management and road traffic flow.”
