Metastar Global Co., Ltd. Signs Business Agreement with Ihaksoo Notary Corporation for 'Tenant Safety Keeper Service'

Metastar Global Co., Ltd. announced on the 21st that it has signed a business agreement with the Law Office of Lee Hak-su.

The contents of this business agreement include cooperation between the two companies to prevent and respond to jeonse fraud, which has recently caused nationwide outrage.

The "Metastar Tenant Safety Keeper Service," scheduled to be launched at the end of April, is a service that provides tenants with necessary information when signing a jeonse contract as part of efforts to eradicate jeonse fraud.

It is being developed to address the information asymmetry problem between landlords and tenants, which is considered a major cause of jeonse fraud. Additionally, it allows checking the status of prior claims, mortgages, and other registrations through viewing the certified copy of the register.

Once the certified copy of the register has been viewed even once, the tenant will receive notifications via KakaoTalk whenever the contents of the register for the relevant property are changed.

Tenants previously could not be promptly informed if the landlord changed or if a provisional seizure was set after signing the jeonse contract, but through the KakaoTalk notification feature, tenants can timely identify changes and take necessary actions.

Through the business agreement with the Law Office of Lee Hak-su, free one-on-one legal consultations will be provided to tenants to help resolve tenant difficulties related to jeonse contracts.

In addition, preparations are underway to provide a checklist for jeonse contract beginners, standard contract forms, and information on types of jeonse fraud.

A Metastar representative stated, "Through this business agreement, we will provide necessary legal consultation services to victims of jeonse fraud and offer safety measures needed by tenants to make every effort to prevent further victimization."
