Permanent Public Contract Practical Training
Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province conducted the 2023 Hapcheon-gun Public Contract Practical Training for 40 personnel responsible for construction site supervision under the county.
The training held on the 15th was conducted as part of efforts to enhance the capabilities of accounting staff and strengthen internal accounting responsibilities and improvement measures to increase the reliability of public institution accounting.
Gyeongnam Hapcheon-gun is conducting practical training on public contracts for construction supervision officials.
The training lasted a total of three hours, focusing on practical cases including facility construction case studies, site supervision duties, bond management, post-settlement, and Q&A sessions, and also included time to listen to various difficulties faced by construction supervisors.
Through this training, it is expected that participants will respond more swiftly than anyone else to the rapidly diversifying policy changes in public construction projects, such as mutual entry into business sectors following the abolition of comprehensive and specialized construction sector barriers, and the client responsibility system for construction accident prevention guidance duties, which were previously mandatory for the primary contractor.
Additionally, it is anticipated to have the effect of preventing potential disputes and conflicts during supervision duties by promptly resolving civil complaints and providing better public services.
Park Su-hyun, Director of the Finance Department, stated, “Customized accounting training by field is being prepared quarterly, and through one-on-one professional consulting on legal issues during contract execution, we plan to gradually eliminate blind spots in the contract sector by presenting reasonable alternatives. All training courses aim to be operated on a permanent basis annually.”
