Gwangyang City Hall Bowling Team Wins Multiple National Team Selections at the Korean National Team Trials

Three National Team Members and Two Reserve Players Selected

The bowling team of the workplace sports club at Gwangyang City Hall, Jeollanam-do, participated with seven affiliated players in the '2023 National Bowling Team Selection' held from the 1st to the 8th. Among them, three players including Gasu-hyeong were selected for the national team, and two players including Choi Bok-eum were appointed as national team reserves.

Gasu-hyeong was selected for the third consecutive year, Kim Dong-hyun for the second consecutive year, and Baek Seung-min, who was ranked first in the 2023 Youth National Team, was also selected for the national team, marking a double celebration.

In particular, Gasu-hyeong was selected as the number one national team player, proving that the Gwangyang City Hall bowling team is truly the best team in South Korea.

Additionally, Choi Bok-eum and Baek Jong-yoon competed with their best efforts but unfortunately had to settle for being national team reserves.

The Gwangyang City Hall bowling team (coach Lee Chun-soo), founded in April 1996, has consistently achieved excellent results, including sweeping all gold medals (five) at the 2018 National Sports Festival, and once again proved to be the top bowling team in the country through this national team selection.

Meanwhile, Jung In-hwa, mayor of Gwangyang City, said, "I am very proud of the team for achieving great results through hard work despite difficult training conditions, and I thank them for raising the prestige of Gwangyang City."
