Golden Blue Steps Up as Main Sponsor for 'Golden Blue GTOUR Invitational'

Golden Blue announced on the 6th that it will participate as the main sponsor of the 'Golden Blue GTOUR Invitational' tournament hosted by Golfzon on the 7th.

The upcoming Golden Blue GTOUR Invitational is attracting great attention from golf enthusiasts, as it features a large number of first division tour players and is regarded as a preview of the 2023 KPGA and KLPGA.

With a total prize money of 15 million KRW, the tournament will be held over two rounds, where eight first division tour players form mixed-gender teams of two. They will compete in individual matches and foursome play (a game format where two players share one ball and take turns hitting) alternately by hole. After the first round, the top two teams out of four will advance to the finals, while the 3rd and 4th place teams will compete for rankings in the second round.

Notably, two professional golfers from the Golden Blue golf team will participate in this tournament. Pro In Ju-yeon, a long hitter and former national team member, and Pro Lee Joo-mi, a former national team reserve, are expected to compete. In addition, well-known first division male and female tour players such as female pros Yoo Hyo-ju and Moon Jeong-min, and male pros Lee Jae-kyung, Kim Han-byeol, Park Jun-hong, and Jang Hee-min will also participate in large numbers.

Park Yong-su, Chairman of Golden Blue, said, “We are pleased to hold the 'Golden Blue GTOUR Invitational' tournament with Golfzon, featuring male and female first division KPGA and KLPGA tour players,” and added, “Golden Blue will continue its sports contribution activities to promote the development and popularization of domestic sports.”
