[Featured Stock] Suseong Salbasion Gains Attention as Respiratory Virus Preventive Amid Avian Influenza Deaths Increase

SuSeong Salbasion is gaining strength following news that an 11-year-old girl in Cambodia died from avian influenza (AI, hereafter bird flu). SuSeong Salbasion's COVID-19 preventive agent 'Kovixil' is known to neutralize 99.9% of all respiratory viruses.

As of 11:02 AM on the 24th, SuSeong Salbasion is trading at 812 won, up 5.18% from the previous trading day.

According to foreign media reports on the 23rd (local time), an 11-year-old girl in southeastern Cambodia showed symptoms such as fever starting from the 16th and was transferred to a hospital in the capital Phnom Penh. Her fever soon rose to 39 degrees Celsius, accompanied by coughing and sore throat. Medical staff diagnosed the girl with bird flu. The girl soon passed away.

According to the local Cambodian media outlet Khmer Times, in addition to the deceased girl, 12 suspected patients tested positive for the bird flu virus. Earlier in January, a 9-year-old girl in Ecuador was infected with bird flu, marking the first case in the South American and Caribbean region.

Recently, experts have raised concerns about the transmission of bird flu among various mammalian animals, suggesting the possibility of human-to-human transmission.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus emphasized, "H5N1-type bird flu has been spreading among wild birds and poultry for 25 years, but recently it has crossed over to mammals, requiring close monitoring."

Meanwhile, SuSeong Salbasion's nasal spray 'Kovixil' is known as the only product proven to inactivate 99.9% of all respiratory viruses, including respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and influenza, in addition to the COVID-19 virus.

SuSeong Salbasion is reportedly in discussions with multiple pharmaceutical companies in the Middle East regarding the supply of Kovixil. The company explained that this is expected to prepare for the MERS virus during the Muslim pilgrimage ritual 'Hajj.'
