[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] At the end of December last year, the delinquency rate on won-denominated loans by domestic banks recorded 0.25%.


According to the Financial Supervisory Service on the 22nd, it fell by 0.02 percentage points compared to the previous month-end, but rose by 0.04 percentage points compared to the previous year.


The new delinquency rate showed a gradually increasing trend at 0.07%.


The amount of new delinquencies in December last year was 1.6 trillion won, an increase of 200 billion won compared to the previous month, but the amount of delinquent loan settlements was 1.9 trillion won, an increase of 1.1 trillion won compared to the previous month.


Looking at the delinquency rate for corporate loans, it was 0.27%, down 0.02 percentage points from the previous month, and up 0.01 percentage points from the previous year.


The delinquency rate for large corporations was 0.05%, down 0.02 percentage points from the previous month, and fell 0.19 percentage points compared to the previous year.


Small and medium-sized enterprise loans recorded 0.32%, down 0.02 percentage points from the previous month-end.


The delinquency rate for individual business owner loans was 0.26%, similar to the previous month.


The delinquency rate for household loans was also 0.24%, similar to the previous month-end, but rose 0.08 percentage points compared to the previous year.


Looking closely at household loans, the delinquency rate for mortgage loans was 0.15%, up 0.01 percentage points from the previous month and 0.05 percentage points from the previous year.


The delinquency rate for loans excluding mortgage loans, such as credit loans, was 0.46%, down 0.03 percentage points from the previous month, but up 0.17 percentage points compared to the previous year.
