The news that a bill allowing autonomous delivery robots to use sidewalks has passed the National Assembly subcommittee seems to be influencing the stock price. Once additional legislation and subordinate statutes are established, autonomous delivery robots will be able to actually make deliveries.

The National Assembly's Administrative Safety Committee Bill Review Subcommittee 2 (Chairman Lee Manhee of the People Power Party) announced that it held a meeting and passed the amendment to the Road Traffic Act. This is interpreted as part of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration's 'Advanced Robot Industry Strategy 1.0.' Recently, Jang Youngjin, First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, expressed opinions on the Road Traffic Act amendment at the 'Advanced Robot Strategy Alliance' meeting he presided over.

ROBOTIS is developing the autonomous delivery robot 'Jipgaemi' based on 5G communication environment, third-generation solution technology including AI-based robotics expansion technology, structural design, and analysis technology. Jipgaemi was selected in 2019 for the Magok Smart City Living Lab project, based on experience as a cooperative partner in LG Electronics' service robot business and joint development of LG autonomous mobile robot modules. It successfully conducted outdoor delivery robot demonstration tests.

ROBOTIS was the first in the robotics field to apply for and pass the industrial convergence regulatory sandbox. It was also selected for a market-creating robot utilization demonstration project, conducting a large-scale lunch delivery demonstration test targeting office workers in the Magok area of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, linked with the mobile electronic meal ticket application 'Sikgwon Daejang.' It is accumulating various references for food delivery using delivery robots. It is collaborating with local companies in the U.S. to provide outdoor logistics delivery services. ROBOTIS is preparing for commercialization by conducting demonstrations of robot utilization with various demand sectors such as logistics and distribution.
