Please Use Heating Expenses for Vulnerable Groups... Gyeongbuk Development Corporation Donates 50 Million Won

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-seon] Gyeongbuk Development Corporation (President Lee Jae-hyuk) delivered an additional donation of 50 million KRW to support heating costs for vulnerable groups through the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea at the Gyeongbuk Provincial Office on the 21st.

Gyeongbuk Development Corporation has donated 100 million KRW annually from 2019 to 2021, and 90 million KRW at the end of last year. Recently, it donated an additional 50 million KRW in response to the soaring heating costs, supporting more than 100 million KRW annually for heating expenses for vulnerable groups.

The donation will be provided at 100,000 KRW per household to 500 energy-vulnerable households recommended by each city and county.

Lee Jae-hyuk, President of Gyeongbuk Development Corporation, said, "This winter will be the coldest for vulnerable residents due to the harsh economic conditions combined with the cold wave. I hope this will provide some strength to those in need."

Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongbuk Province, said, "I appreciate the support that provides practical help to vulnerable groups facing heavy living burdens due to the unprecedented cold wave and soaring heating costs. We will ensure that the donation is used wisely."
