IPP (Industry Professional Practice)-type work-learning dual system is a field-centered industry-academia cooperation education model led by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. It is a new industry-academia cooperation education and training system aimed at solving youth unemployment caused by manpower supply-demand mismatch between universities and companies.
Dongseo University was selected as the 4th university for the IPP-type work-learning dual system project implemented by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea in 2018, and has operated long-term field training and work-learning dual system based on NCS (National Competency Standards) for 5 years.
Through the project, in 2022, 113 Dongseo University students participated in long-term field training at 47 companies, and 40 learning workers participated in the work-learning dual system at 16 companies.
The university was reselected for the ‘IPP Project Extension Operation’ in 2023 and newly selected for the ‘Work-Learning Dual System Advanced Industry Academy Project,’ and will continue to operate the project for the next 5 years.
