According to the county on the 14th, Governor Shim met with Jo Yong-man, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the day before and proposed departmental support for the successful promotion of the 2023 World Heritage City Gochang Visit Year.

Governor Shim explained ▲hosting major events organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Gochang ▲attracting various high-quality cultural programs (exhibitions, performances, etc.) ▲and win-win cooperation plans linked with the 2023-2024 Visit Korea Year, urging the ministry's interest and support.

Jo Yong-man, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said, “2023 is a meaningful year in which the Visit Korea Year and the World Heritage City Gochang Visit Year are held simultaneously,” and added, “We will actively consider support measures at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism level.”

Governor Shim Deok-seop said, “Central government-level interest and support are essential for the successful promotion of the 2023 World Heritage City Gochang Visit Year,” and added, “We will continue to do our best for the success of the World Heritage City Gochang Visit Year.”
