Recruitment of Students for Lifestyle Pottery Class Until the 28th

According to Yeongam-gun on the 8th, this lifestyle pottery class is open to any adult resident of Yeongam-gun, and participation is free of charge (materials cost not included).

This program, designed for beginners, is based on basic pottery shaping and decoration techniques, making it easy for beginners to follow, and will be operated for 12 weeks starting next month.


The lifestyle pottery class is a program aimed at sharing and communicating local culture together, and is expected to provide an opportunity to deepen understanding of local culture centered on Gurim pottery, the nation's first high-fired celadon pottery with over 1,200 years of history.


A museum official stated, "Participation of local residents in the adult pottery class program has been steadily continuing," and added, "The Ceramic Museum will continue to expand programs to improve the quality of life of local residents through the everydayization of culture and arts."


Meanwhile, the Yeongam Ceramic Museum is expanding opportunities for communication with visitors through various educational operations such as one-day experience of yellow soil pottery making, exhibition-linked programs, and traveling museum programs.
