Hansome announced on the 7th that its consolidated operating profit last year was 168.3 billion KRW, an increase of 10.6% compared to the previous year. During the same period, sales reached 1.5422 trillion KRW, up 11.2% year-on-year. Net profit increased by 8.2% to 120.7 billion KRW.
Last year's sales continued to show strong growth in high-end brands such as women's character brands (15.6%), menswear (14.6%), and overseas editing (17.3%). Offline sales grew by 11.6% compared to the previous year, while online sales grew by 11.0%. The proportion of online sales remained similar, recording 20.7% last year compared to 20.8% in 2021. It was explained that operating profit also increased due to strong performance across all brands and channels.
In the fourth quarter of last year, warm winter weather led to a slowdown in both online and offline performance. Operating profit in the fourth quarter was 49.2 billion KRW, down 4.9% from the same period last year. Sales were 451.9 billion KRW, up 1.5%, and net profit increased by 4.4% to 39.3 billion KRW. Sales of women's character brands (8.9%) and menswear (4.7%) grew. Offline sales increased by 2.4%, but online sales decreased by 0.8%. The proportion of online sales also declined to 18.9%, compared to 19.4% in the same period of the previous year.
