Installation of Fine Dust Traffic Lights at Public Terminals

[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yuk Miseok] Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do installed a fine dust traffic light (air quality information notification medium) at the entrance of Gurye Public Terminal, which quickly provides information on air pollutants such as fine dust and ozone for use in outdoor activities.

The fine dust traffic light operates by receiving data from the Ministry of Environment and the Korea Meteorological Administration to the environmental information management server and displays it. It is shown with characters and numerical values on the upper electronic display board.

Gurye-gun installed a fine dust traffic light at the public terminal that quickly provides information on air pollutants, allowing it to be used for outdoor activities.

Characters corresponding to the four categories of fine dust concentration are depicted by color and facial expression (Good - Blue, Moderate - Green, Bad - Yellow, Very Bad - Red) to enhance visibility and convey information intuitively, allowing anyone to easily understand the air quality status.

Installed at the entrance of the public terminal with a large floating population, this air quality information notification medium allows not only information on air pollutants such as fine dust and ozone but also various weather information such as temperature and humidity to be checked, enabling residents engaged in outdoor activities to respond immediately to air conditions.
