Lotte Department Store received high praise from consumers last year as it transformed into a 'popup store sanctuary' attracting the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z).


Last year, Lotte Department Store's two main branches, the Main Store and Jamsil Store, not only changed the shopping space but also contributed significantly to revitalizing the tourist district. The Main Store is currently undergoing its largest renewal since opening, themed around premium offerings. After renewing the men's overseas fashion section in 2021, last year it renewed the women's overseas fashion section, food, and beauty product categories.


The Jamsil Store, which has established itself as the ultimate playground for the MZ generation, became the center of popup stores. The popup store "The Court," themed around tennis?a new leisure activity gaining attention from the MZ generation?attracted about 200,000 customers over ten days. In addition to large popup stores such as Valentino Beauty and Est?e Lauder, customer participation events like the Christmas Market and the Janmang Loopy character popup store were held continuously. Through bakery and dessert popup stores, the department store showcased diverse content that went beyond the usual shopping experience.


Lotte Department Store continuously presented premium content where customers could experience art throughout last year, including exhibitions like the "Rejoice Exhibition" and "Lotte Art Fair Busan 2022." They also launched the environmental campaign RE:EARTH, strengthening activities such as beachcombing to pick up trash along the coast.
