Namhae-gun Shares Warmth with Social Welfare Facilities in Celebration of Lunar New Year

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam Province, conducted visits to social welfare facilities within the region to create a warm Lunar New Year atmosphere and share heartfelt warmth during the holiday season.


On the 17th, rice (10kg) and four types of daily necessities were delivered to a total of eight social welfare facilities. Additionally, fruit and flower baskets were presented along with words of gratitude and encouragement to facility officials and workers who are dedicated to regional welfare in Namhae-gun at five facilities.

Governor Jang Chung-nam stated, “The Lunar New Year is a time when more attention and love for our neighbors around us are needed,” adding, “I hope everyone in the county will take a moment to look after their neighbors and have a warm Lunar New Year together.”


Namhae-gun has designated the period until the 25th as the “2023 Lunar New Year Focused Visit Campaign for Neighbors in Need,” delivering 10kg of rice and local currency worth 50,000 KRW to 1,800 low-income and veterans’ households through each town and township office.


Furthermore, daily necessities worth approximately 100 million KRW donated by the nonprofit organization People Sharing Hope were distributed to 20 social welfare facilities and each town and township.


In addition, related organizations, groups, and departments under the county office are voluntarily conducting visits to neighbors in need, fostering a warm holiday atmosphere.
