Appointment of 17 Cultural Tourism Guides and Others

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 12th, Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, appointed 17 Geochang Tourism Promotion Activists who will be responsible for promoting Geochang tourism in 2023 at the county office situation room.

The event proceeded in the order of awarding appointment certificates, self-introductions and presentations of aspirations, commemorative photo sessions, and explanations of the 2023 operation plan.

The Geochang Tourism Promotion Activists collectively refer to cultural tourism interpreters, tourist taxi drivers, and Instagram reporters, who are responsible for providing tourism information, comfortable transportation, and valuable cultural tourism interpretation to all visitors to Geochang.

As a major project for 2023, cultural tourism interpreters, who interestingly convey the history and culture of Geochang at tourist sites, will develop storytelling interpretation techniques and open the Cultural Tourism Interpreter Idea Sharing Center to strengthen their capabilities. In line with the resumption of industrial tourism at the Geochang Plant of Seoul Milk, Geochang-gun plans to deliver enjoyable cultural tourism interpretation at Susungdae, Changpoweon, and Anti-aging Healing Land.

The Geochang Tourist Taxi, which transforms potentially boring travel time into an enjoyable journey, provides a comfortable and safe travel environment by covering 50% of the taxi fare for tourists registered outside the area, paid by Geochang-gun.

The Instagram reporters, who deliver vivid real-time information on Geochang’s festivals, restaurants, and attractions, plan to improve the quality of Geochang-gun’s Instagram posts through training on eye-catching SNS usage methods, including creating attractive titles and arranging photos and captions.
