[Asia Economy Reporter Noh Kyung-jo] The Korea Real Estate Board announced on the 12th that it will open six new types of subscription data to meet private demand for housing subscription information and to resolve information asymmetry issues.
The Real Estate Board operates the 'Cheongyak Home' system and provides information such as apartment sale details and subscription account status through the Public Data Portal. It explained that the demand for housing subscription information has been gradually increasing recently, and it aims to fulfill the public's right to know by opening additional information.
The newly opened data includes a total of six types: two types of apartment subscription applicant status and four types of winner status. This reflects the results of a public database (DB) demand survey conducted among private sector and related academic experts. Relevant information can be checked on the Public Data Portal on the 25th of every month.
The Real Estate Board also stated that it plans to provide API services that facilitate data processing and handling so that the private sector can freely utilize the data.
Son Tae-rak, President of the Real Estate Board, said, "The additionally opened data will help the public judge whether and when to apply for subscriptions, as well as assist in determining the household type composition, sales, and option prices of sale complexes." He added, "Furthermore, it will contribute to the activation of the proptech industry, including real estate information content development, brokerage, moving, and interior demand forecasting."
