Establishing Sound Distribution Order Including Origin Labeling by the 19th

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 12th that it will promote price stability and establish a sound commercial transaction order by providing consumers with accurate price information ahead of the Seollal holiday.

From the 11th to the 19th, designated as a special measures period, government officials and price monitoring personnel will jointly track price trends of key seasonal products under focused management.

The key seasonal products under focused management include 16 items: napa cabbage, radish, apple, pear, beef, pork, chicken, eggs, chestnuts, jujube, squid, mackerel, pollack, hairtail, yellow croaker, and dried anchovies.

To establish a sound distribution transaction order, the county will inspect retail stores, neighborhood supermarkets, and semi-large stores for compliance with country of origin labeling and the appropriateness of labeling methods to provide consumers with accurate price information.

A county official said, “We will make every effort to stabilize prices so that residents can have a warm and comfortable Seollal holiday.”
