Have Fun Without Fighting! ♥
Repetitive gatherings often involve the same conversations. Whether you meet regularly with school friends or after a long time, talking about memories is always enjoyable. Stories from the past that are fun to tell every time♥ While it's nice to chat over a casual drink, if you want to create more special memories with your friends, try board games. They’re fun even without alcohol, and even more enjoyable with drinks. We've prepared a variety of games, from very simple ones to those requiring some brainpower.
I have three criteria for selecting games. First, they shouldn't take too long?so it's important not to extend the rounds. Second, they shouldn't require quick reflexes, since spilling drinks or food on the table would be a disaster! Lastly, considering the possibility of being intoxicated, the games should be easy to clean up. For beginners, I will explain the rules very simply!
Tumbling Monkey & Penguin Ice Breaker
First, I'll explain two games that are good to play with children. The first is Tumbling Monkey. Assemble the palm tree and randomly insert three sticks, then place the monkeys between the branches to finish setup. Roll the dice and pull out the stick matching the color shown. If a monkey falls to the floor while pulling sticks, place that monkey in front of the player. When all monkeys have fallen from the tree, the player with the most monkeys loses.
▶ Ages 4 and up / 2-4 players.
Randomly insert white and blue blocks into the board, then place the penguin on top to finish setup. It's really simple! Spin the roulette and use the hammer to remove the block of the color it lands on. Players take turns, and the one who causes the penguin to fall loses. To add more fun, you can set a number of rounds and see who drops the penguin the most.
▶ Ages 8 and up / 2-4 players.
UNO
If you're tired of One Card, try UNO. Players are dealt 7 cards each, and one card is placed face up in the center. The rest are placed face down beside it. The rules are very simple. You can play any number card that matches the color of the card on the table, or if the color is different, you must play the same number card. If you can't play any card, draw one from the deck, and remember, you can play the drawn card immediately. Special cards add extra fun, so everyone should definitely try them. When you have only one card left, shout “UNO!” If another player shouts it first, the player with one card must draw two more cards. Stay alert until you get rid of all your cards!
▶ Ages 7 and up / 2-10+ players.
Cockroach Poker
This game is full of lies, so be careful not to hurt anyone’s trust! The key is to memorize the pictures well so you don’t get confused. Shuffle the cards and deal them evenly to all players to start. You secretly offer one card to someone, telling the truth or lying. For example, you can show a card with a cockroach and say, “This is a bat.” The receiver must figure out if you’re telling the truth or lying. They can also pass the card to another player. The goal is to detect lies and place cards in front of players who are wrong. The game ends when a player has four identical cards. It’s a game of prediction based on cards held and those on the table. It’s most fun with 4 to 5 players! There’s also an expansion set to know about.
▶ Ages 8 and up / 2-6 players.
Dalmuti
Dalmuti is a game with ranks, so it’s guaranteed fun with drinks! The deck has 80 cards: one '1' card, two '2' cards, up to twelve '12' cards, and two jokers called Jesters. After dealing cards evenly to all players, the game begins. One important thing: the player who draws the lowest card leads the game. Remember, the lower the number, the higher the rank. You must play the same number of cards but with a lower number than the previous player. The game ends when someone runs out of cards. If you can’t play, say “pass.” If everyone passes, the round ends. From the second round, trading between the King and the Peasant is necessary. The King gives two unwanted cards to the Peasant and receives two good cards in return. If you’re the King, enjoy your authority!
▶ Ages 8 and up / 4-8 players.
Las Vegas
This is a betting game where you can shout “Life is a gamble!” But remember, real money is never involved! Assemble the board and place two bills on each die. The higher the number, the higher the amount. Players choose a die color and get 8 dice each to start. Roll all dice, then choose a number to place your dice on the matching number’s board. For example, if you roll three 2s, four 5s, and one 6, you can place the three 2s on the 2 board or the four 5s on the 5 board. When all dice are used, distribute the money. The player with the most dice on each casino board gets the highest amount, the second most gets the second highest, and so on. The thrilling part is that ties mean elimination! It’s a game of keen observation and strategy.
▶ Ages 8 and up / 2-5 players.
