[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Kim Gi-won, CEO of McDonald's Korea, stated in his New Year's message, "This year, we will further solidify our position as an industry-leading company and fulfill our social responsibilities," adding, "We aim to provide customers with the best menus and services to deliver 'Feel Good Moments,' while achieving greater growth and development through the united efforts of employees, partners, and franchisees."


On the 4th, McDonald's announced on the 5th that it held an internal New Year's event at its headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, wishing for the health and happiness of both employees and customers.


At the event, CEO Kim said, "2023 marks the 35th anniversary of McDonald's entry into Korea," and emphasized focusing more on the growth drivers of 'brand trust' and 'delicious menus,' while steadily enhancing the level of customer experience and strongly promoting both tangible and intangible investments in 'people (employees),' the core of McDonald's Korea business.


He continued, "The Year of the Black Rabbit, symbolizing 'wisdom and leap,' is upon us, and I hope all McDonald's Korea employees will jump to a higher level in both work and life and continue to grow."
