GARAM DNC Group (CEO Choi Se-yeon) announced that it will pursue a logistics business as its next new venture and has begun preparations for this.
According to GARAM DNC Group, to launch the smart logistics business newly in 2023, they have finalized the establishment of the Jincheon Smart Logistics Center in Jincheon-gun, Chungbuk, where a state-of-the-art logistics system will be applied, and have completed the land purchase.
This smart logistics center will be equipped with the latest systems necessary for logistics operations, designed to implement efficient management, inbound and outbound processes, and shipping of various products, with completion targeted for 2026.
GARAM DNC Group is also constructing a new headquarters building in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, due to business expansion, with completion scheduled for this month. Currently, GARAM DNC Group operates various real estate-related businesses including land development, construction, sales, and management, as well as the GCI Sport & Edu Center, an integrated sports and education center for growing children located in the Mokgam district of Siheung.
Since these multiple businesses are operated simultaneously, after completion, all business promotion departments will be centrally managed in the new headquarters. The newly announced logistics business will also be promoted by shuttling between the Jincheon logistics center site and the new headquarters.
In particular, paying attention to social contribution, a key policy of CEO Choi Se-yeon, GARAM DNC Group has been donating a portion of its profits to various organizations, and the profits from the logistics business will also be used for donations.
CEO Choi Se-yeon stated, “Although industries continuously evolve and undergo structural changes over time, the importance of the logistics sector remains significant in any era. Therefore, we selected the smart logistics business as our first new venture in 2023 and have quickly begun its promotion. With the start of GARAM DNC Group’s Yangjae-dong era this month, we will show even greater growth,” he said.
