Donghwa Enterprise Launches 'Black PB' Board for Office Furniture

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Dongwha Enterprise announced on the 30th that it will launch the particle board for office furniture, 'Black PB.'

Particle board is a wood-based panel product made by molding and compressing wood chips. Compared to other wood panel products such as plywood, it is more economical and is mainly used for furniture manufacturing.

The newly released office furniture board, 'Black PB,' is an eco-friendly material with low emissions of harmful substances. The maximum formaldehyde emission of the new product is 0.5 mg/L, which is lower than the average maximum value of 0.7 mg/L for E0 grade particle boards, the quality standard mainly used for office furniture. This can prevent indoor air quality deterioration or sick building syndrome caused by harmful substances.

The product durability has been enhanced compared to quality standards. It secures a bending strength level (13.5 N/㎟) superior to the standard for general office furniture products (13 N/㎟), preventing product damage or deformation.

Park Myung-gyun, Executive Director of the Board Sales Division at Dongwha Enterprise, said, "The particle board introduced this time reduces harmful substances and increases sturdiness compared to typical office furniture products, enhancing product competitiveness," adding, "We will continue research on boards to create safe and comfortable spaces."
