Chosun University Successfully Concludes 'Advanced Startup & Competition Camp'

Support for Startup Clubs and On-Campus Prospective Entrepreneurs Including Training Programs

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The ‘2022 C-StartUp competition #Season2: Advanced Startup & Competition Camp’ program conducted by Chosun University Startup Education Center has successfully concluded.

According to Chosun University on the 28th, this program was held over one night and two days from the 17th to the 18th at Damyang De Monde Hotel, targeting startup clubs and prospective entrepreneurs within the university.

Theoretical education was provided to enhance understanding of business plan writing, along with presentation training to improve startup item pitching skills.

Additionally, advanced mentoring was supported for each startup club, including business plan value-up and establishment of BM (Business Method) models.

With a total of about 40 students participating, this camp was conducted in a hackathon format with an intensive curriculum lasting approximately 12 hours.

The startup idea competition awarded a total of seven startup clubs through evaluations by external experts.

The winning teams included one grand prize team (Chosun University President’s Award), one excellence award team (Chosun University Startup Support Group Director’s Award), two merit award teams (Chosun University Startup Education Center Director’s Award), and three encouragement award teams (Chosun University Startup Education Center Director’s Award).

Kang Seongho, director of the Chosun University Startup Education Center, said, “I hope this event serves as a stepping stone for students to boost their confidence in startups and cultivate a spirit of challenge,” adding, “The Startup Education Center plans to continue supporting various programs to discover startup items within the university and nurture competitive prospective entrepreneurs.”
