The ‘Daegu Duryu Starhills’ apartment opened its model house on the 30th of last month, attracting a steady flow of visitors.
This complex is gaining attention as an opportunity to secure a prime location near Duryu Station, known as a prestigious area within Daegu’s transportation special zone, under reasonable conditions.
Daegu Metropolitan City, where ‘Daegu Duryu Starhills’ is located, plays a key role as a transportation hub in the Gyeongbuk region, supported by planned railway and airport infrastructure. With the expansion of various transportation networks, it is establishing itself as a crucial transit point in Gyeongbuk.
First, the 61.3 km-long ‘Daegu-Gyeongbuk Line,’ connecting Seodaegu to the new airport and Uiseong, is underway. According to the announcement by Gyeongsangbuk-do, the ‘Daegu-Gyeongbuk Line’ was selected as a metropolitan railway project in August last year and began a preliminary feasibility study in November of the same year. Once this line opens, the Gyeongbu Line and Jungang Line will be connected, enabling travel to the integrated new airport within 30 minutes. Additionally, at the end of last year, a preliminary feasibility study also commenced for the Gwangju-Daegu Line (Gwangju Songjeong to Seodaegu, 198.8 km), with Seodaegu Station as both the starting and ending point, raising significant expectations for the project.
The new airport project is also progressing with Daegu as its backdrop. This large-scale project has attracted more attention following remarks by Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong, who attended a breakfast lecture hosted by the Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stating to Gyeongsangbuk-do’s Deputy Governor for Economy Lee Dal-hee and others that “the successful construction of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk New Airport is the President’s promise and a key government national agenda.”
With such diverse transportation networks planned within Daegu, demand is focusing on real estate products expected to benefit. ‘Duryu Starhills’ is also spotlighted as a representative site.
‘Duryu Starhills’ is planned as a large complex in Naedang-dong, Seo-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City, consisting of six apartment buildings ranging from four basement floors to 49 above-ground floors, and one officetel building from four basement floors to 36 above-ground floors, totaling seven buildings. A total of 201 units of 84㎡ apartments will be supplied, including 118 units of 84A, 64 units of 84B, and 19 units of 84C, offering a variety of popular sizes to meet diverse preferences, promising high satisfaction.
Efforts were made to differentiate from other complexes in Daegu. Types A and C feature a rare 5Bay plate-type layout, difficult to find in Daegu, while type B offers unobstructed views. All types include pantry spaces, and types 84A and 84B provide alpha rooms, allowing more spacious use of the same area, which is also an advantage.
Excellent residential conditions further enhance the appeal of this complex. ‘Duryu Starhills’ is a super-station area apartment just a 3-minute walk from Duryu Station on the subway line. Since Duryu Station is included in the light rail circular line project of the Daegu Circular Line, residents will enjoy even better transportation convenience in the future. Moreover, Seodaegu Station opened nearby in March, and a bus stop serving 11 lines is located right in front of the complex, earning high praise for public transportation convenience. Vehicle access is also convenient, with Seongseo IC nearby facilitating easy travel to surrounding areas.
With various infrastructures around the complex, convenient living is also expected. Residents can enjoy a one-stop lifestyle with large commercial areas nearby, including Homeplus, Duryu Park, E-World, Seonam Market, Lotte Cinema, and the Daegu Metropolitan City Hall’s new building (scheduled to move by 2026), as well as public offices.
Another notable point is the safe walking environment for children’s school commute. The complex is adjacent to Duryu Elementary School, making it a sought-after ‘Chopuma’ (elementary school within walking distance) apartment near Duryu Intersection, a popular choice among parents.
The ability to enjoy these advantages under reasonable conditions also draws attention to ‘Duryu Starhills.’ A sales official stated, “Amid rising interest rates and increased burdens on homebuyers, we are easing financial pressure by offering a 60% interest-free installment payment on the down payment,” adding, “Since the pre-sale rights are not counted as housing, the project is also attracting strong interest from investors.” They further noted, “Currently, first-come-first-served unit and floor selection is available, so those who want premium floors should act quickly.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Duryu Starhills’ model house is currently open for visitors.
