LS Electric, Four Power and Automation Products Selected for 'Excellent Design' at Government Awards Ceremony

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Four power and automation products from LS ELECTRIC were selected as excellent design products at the government design awards. Notably, in the automation category, the S300 Drive, an AC conversion device, received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award (Silver Prize), marking a remarkable achievement.

On the 22nd, LS ELECTRIC announced that four power and automation products?S300 Drive, Smart ACB (Air Circuit Breaker), Delta Robot, and L100 Drive?were selected for the 'Good Design Award' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion. It was also announced that the S300 Drive will receive the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at the ceremony held the following day.

Since 1985, the Good Design Award has been held annually, where domestic design experts evaluate products and the government grants the Good Design (GD) mark to those with excellent performance and design. LS ELECTRIC received the GD mark for four products including the S300 Drive.

The S300 Drive is a device that converts DC (Direct Current) to AC (Alternating Current). It controls the speed of rotating machinery in industrial sites such as factory automation and plant air conditioning systems, while improving energy efficiency and precision, resulting in energy savings and reduced carbon dioxide emissions. The judging panel evaluated that its excellent functionality was effectively productized through a design perspective reinterpretation.

An LS ELECTRIC official stated, "Industrial solution design must not only excel in appearance but also reveal a unique PI (Product Identity) while contributing to functional improvements. The selection of multiple products reflects the realization of LS ELECTRIC’s design philosophy, and based on this, we will secure competitiveness in both domestic and overseas markets."
