[Special Stock] E&Plus Begins Full-Scale Production of Secondary Battery Separator and Electrode... "Scheduled to Supply European Battery-Related Companies"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] E&Plus stock is showing strong performance. The news that the company will begin full-scale production of core secondary battery materials developed in-house at its new secondary battery material factory appears to be influencing the stock price.

At 9:14 a.m. on the 16th, E&Plus was trading at 7,190 KRW, up 12.68% from the previous day.

E&Plus held a completion ceremony for its secondary battery material factory located in the Jeonbuk Gimje Free Trade Zone the day before. The company has started operating facilities for producing core secondary battery materials such as electrodes and conductive agents. The carbon nanotube (CNT)-based secondary battery materials produced by E&Plus will be supplied to domestic secondary battery development specialist Green Energy as well as European battery-related companies.

In March last year, E&Plus signed a business agreement with Green Energy to develop next-generation secondary batteries based on graphene materials, and since November of the same year, they have been conducting a government-funded project to develop high-conductivity LTO (lithium titanate oxide)-graphene composite anode materials.

CNT is a material applied in various advanced technologies including secondary batteries, graphene lithium-ion supercapacitors (storage batteries), electrostatic and electromagnetic shielding, and lightweight products. CNT is also known to be essential for silicon anode materials, which are recognized as next-generation anode materials, further expanding its market potential.

An E&Plus representative stated, "E&Plus has been continuously conducting research and development to grow into a core company in the secondary battery sector," adding, "The completion of the new material factory and the start of electrode product production mark the most symbolic moment since E&Plus entered the secondary battery business."

They continued, "We will do our best to ensure that electrode products, along with conductive agents and thermal management materials such as gap fillers and gap filling gels, become major growth drivers," and added, "We will strengthen our technological competitiveness to achieve successful results in various areas including active materials and electrolytes."
