Next Year’s Hamangun Council Legislative Allowance to Increase by 1.4% … Annual Total Amount 36.77 Million Won

The county announced on the 18th that it held a council remuneration review committee meeting on the 17th in the small conference room on the 3rd floor of the county office annex and decided to raise the council members' remuneration.

Among the 2023 remuneration, the activity allowance will be maintained at the same level as this year, and the monthly fixed allowance will be increased by 1.4%, which is the same rate as this year's civil servant salary increase.

With this decision, next year's total annual council remuneration will amount to 36.77 million KRW, combining the activity allowance of 13.2 million KRW and the monthly fixed allowance of 23.57 million KRW.

The county plans to revise the ordinance concerning the payment of council members' activity allowances in Haman County and start payments from January next year.

According to the county, the council remuneration review committee consists of 10 members residing in Haman County, selected from the education sector, legal sector, media, civic groups, village chief association, and council recommendations, in accordance with Article 40 of the Local Autonomy Act and Article 34 of its enforcement decree.

The county intends to disclose the results of this remuneration review and the list of committee members on the county website.
