[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] An advisory committee appointment ceremony for the successful hosting of the '2023 Jinju Asia Weightlifting Championships,' scheduled for May next year, was held on the 14th at the Cultural Lecture Room of Jinju City Hall, Gyeongnam.

The advisory committee, chaired by Kim Taek-se, president of the Jinju City Sports Council, is composed of experts active in sports, education, media, medical, and cultural arts fields. Until the event next year, the committee will support the 2023 Jinju Asia Weightlifting Championships Organizing Committee by providing advice on event preparation and operation.

On this day, Mayor Cho Gyu-il, chairman of the organizing committee, presented appointment letters to the committee members.

Mayor Cho said, "I feel very reassured to have experts from various fields as committee members," and added, "With about seven months left until the event, I ask for active support so that the organizing committee and advisory committee can closely cooperate to make the event successful."

Kim, who serves as the advisory committee chairman, said, "I thank the members who accepted the advisory committee appointments," and added, "As the advisory committee chairman, I feel a heavy responsibility and will do my best with the members to ensure the success of the event."
