[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seoyoon] POSCO Group has launched recruitment for new college graduate employees for the second half of 2022. The group companies recruiting are POSCO, POSCO International, POSCO Engineering & Construction, POSCO Chemical, and POSCO Altech.
According to POSCO Group on the 5th, applications can be submitted through the POSCO recruitment website until 2 p.m. on the 21st. Afterwards, candidates will go through ▲ Aptitude Test (PAT) ▲ 1st Interview (Job Competency Evaluation) ▲ 2nd Interview (Value Fit Evaluation) for final selection. Starting this time, the Aptitude Test (PAT) will be conducted online for the convenience of applicants.
POSCO plans to resume on-campus recruitment briefings at domestic universities, which were suspended due to the spread of COVID-19, allowing senior employees to meet applicants face-to-face and provide vivid information. Additionally, to accommodate applicants who find it difficult to attend the briefings, an online consultation event called the ‘POSCO Online Recruitment Briefing’ will be held concurrently. Those wishing to participate in the online briefing can apply in advance by the 12th.
In this recruitment, POSCO favors candidates who pursue the value of coexistence, such as those with volunteer experience or recipients of the Hero Award, as well as proactive and responsible talents with a sense of ownership, such as those with experience in contests or startups. Furthermore, future-oriented talents who lead change and growth through flexible thinking and continuous learning, such as those with AI and big data capabilities or winners of the steelChallenge, will also be given preference.
A POSCO recruitment official stated, “POSCO is a global eco-friendly steel leading company where employees and the company grow together and create the future,” and added, “We ask for many applications from students with excellent potential.”
Meanwhile, POSCO announced the start of the second half recruitment with a city pop music video featuring the social media character ‘Poseokho’ on its official YouTube channel ‘POSCO TV,’ and is communicating with applicants by posting recruitment-related content such as interviews with senior employees by job category on the media channel ‘POSCO Newsroom.’
