On the 30th, Vice Chairman Lee visited the Samsung SDS Jamsil Campus located in Sincheon-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, and held a meeting with working mom employees who are balancing work and childcare alone.

Vice Chairman Lee encouraged the employees by saying, "Working moms raising children are patriots." The employees expressed their gratitude to the company, saying that the in-house daycare center and telecommuting system are helpful in balancing work and childcare.

On this day, one employee requested Vice Chairman Lee, "I want to show that a mother is working hard at the company," and Vice Chairman Lee personally took on the role of a model in the video and left a video message for the employee's child.

In the video, Vice Chairman Lee said, "Your mother is working hard at a company called Samsung SDS doing really important work that helps others and makes society better," and added, "You should grow up healthy, kind, and upright. Goodbye." He also wrote a long message for an employee who asked him to leave a message for their parents.

This is not the first time Vice Chairman Lee has encouraged working mom employees. Previously, in August 2020, he held a meeting with working mom employees at the Samsung Electronics Suwon Plant and called for institutional innovation.

At that time, Vice Chairman Lee said, "Let's change not only the existing wrong systems and practices but also outdated perceptions," and added, "Let's create an organizational culture together where talented female professionals can fully demonstrate their abilities, grow into next-generation leaders, and become role models."
