An autopsy revealed that A had drug components in her system, and the same substances were detected in B, leading the police to urgently arrest B and conduct an investigation.
There was another case this year in Busan where a man and woman took drugs and the woman died.
In February, a woman in her 30s, C, was found dead at a hotel in Busanjin-gu. C had stayed with a man in his 30s the day before her death, and the next day, a staff member found her deceased. A large amount of drugs was detected in C's body.
Recently, in Ulsan, campers who took drugs and caused disturbances were arrested.
Three campers in their 30s who took drugs were caught by the police on the 21st.
According to the Ulsan Police Agency, around 5 p.m. on the 21st, three men in their 30s took drugs at a camping site in Ulsan and exhibited abnormal behavior, prompting witnesses to report and police to respond.
CCTV footage from the campsite showed one of them barefoot and shirtless, staggering in and out of flower beds, sitting or lying down on the road, causing a disturbance.
The other two left the rear door open and drove an SUV but eventually drove the vehicle into a nearby ditch. Those arrested at the scene were found to have taken LSD, a psychotropic drug classified as a type of narcotic.
In recent years, drug crimes among young people have been rapidly increasing. According to the National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters, drug offenders aged 30 and under accounted for 4,085 people in 2019, making up 48.9% of all drug offenders, increasing to 51.2% in 2020 and 58.9% in 2021.
