[Exclusive] 20s Mother Arrested Immediately After Killing Newborn in Motel Bathroom

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] A woman in her 20s who killed her newborn child immediately after giving birth at a motel in Gyeonggi Province was arrested by the police.

On the 23rd, the Anyang Manan Police Station in Gyeonggi announced that they had urgently arrested a woman in her 20s, identified as A, on suspicion of infanticide at 11:12 PM the previous day.

A is accused of suffocating and killing a baby boy right after giving birth in the bathroom of a motel located in Seoksu-dong, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, around 2 AM the previous day, and then fleeing the scene.

At around 3 PM on the same day, a motel employee reported the incident to 112, and the police identified A's whereabouts through closed-circuit television (CCTV) and made an urgent arrest.

The police plan to investigate A thoroughly regarding the exact motive behind the crime.
