Ulju-gun Launches Temporary Special Support Program for Youth Monthly Rent... Targeting Unhoused Youth Aged 19 to 34

Ulju-gun Launches Temporary Special Support Program for Youth Monthly Rent... Targeting Unhoused Youth Aged 19 to 34 Ulju County Office.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Ulju-gun, Ulsan City, will begin accepting applications for the "Youth Monthly Rent Temporary Special Support Project" from the 22nd to alleviate the housing cost burden of young people facing difficulties due to COVID-19 and the economic crisis.

The support targets young people aged 19 to 34 who live separately from their parents and do not own a home, with a rental deposit of up to 50 million KRW and monthly rent of up to 600,000 KRW.

If selected, recipients can receive support for actual rent payments up to 200,000 KRW per month for a maximum of 12 months. If receiving housing benefits, the difference will be supported up to the 200,000 KRW limit.

However, those already receiving housing cost support from other city or county programs are excluded.

Applicants can apply through the online Welfare Road website or by visiting the administrative welfare center in their area.

The county plans to review income and property, lease contracts, family relation certificates, and other documents, and begin disbursing support funds from November.

An Ulju-gun official stated, "We will provide housing support through welfare benefits to young people facing employment difficulties and housing crises amid COVID-19 and economic recession," adding, "We will do our best to make the region a place where the 2030 generation, the future of the county, can live in a stable housing environment."
