Jordan National University Professors Study Hard at Dong-Eui University... KOICA ODA Project Invitation Training Officials from Dong-Eui University and faculty members from Karak College and Irbid College under Balqa University are taking a commemorative photo.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dong-Eui University, together with KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency), has been conducting a training program by inviting faculty members from Karak Technical College and Irbid Technical College under Al-Balqa Applied University in Jordan from July 7 to September 4.


This is part of KOICA's Official Development Assistance (ODA) project titled "Capacity Building for Vocational Education and Training at Karak and Irbid Technical Colleges under Al-Balqa Applied University in Jordan."


Dong-Eui University was selected as the project executing institution in 2020 and is supporting the improvement of vocational technical education environments and curriculum development for five majors at Karak Technical College until 2024, including automobile maintenance, architecture, welding and piping, electronics, and fashion & knit.


The university is also supporting three majors at Irbid Technical College: graphic design, dental technology, and fashion & knit.


The training, aimed at strengthening the teaching capabilities of faculty members from Karak and Irbid Technical Colleges, includes 24 professors from the departments of ▲Fashion & Knit ▲Graphic Design ▲Dental Technology ▲Architecture ▲Automobile Maintenance ▲Electronics ▲Welding and Piping.


The training program involves Dong-Eui University, Dong-Eui Science University, Busan Catholic University, Korea Polytechnic University Dongbusan Campus, and Busan Fashion Business Center.


Lectures for each program are conducted at the respective universities and institutions, and common lectures, major-specific lectures, industrial site visits, and field training are planned, along with the development of theoretical and practical teaching materials.


The head of the training group, Suleiman Qasim Mohammad Abu-Ein, said, "Our faculty's knowledge and capabilities have greatly improved through on-site education of advanced Korean technology," adding, "We will develop the best teaching materials that will greatly help Korean faculty and Jordanian students' learning."


Al-Balqa Applied University in Jordan is a national university established in 1996 based on a royal decree.


Al-Balqa operates its main campus in Al-Salt, 12 university colleges, and supervises 51 public and private technical colleges throughout Jordan.
