[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] To commemorate the 77th anniversary of the August 15 Liberation Day, Gyeonggi Province is holding a special planned exhibition honoring the noble spirit of Gyeonggi Province independence activists who were active during the Japanese colonial period, in collaboration with the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation and the Gyeonggi Provincial Museum.

The exhibition titled "Walking + Meeting, Independence Movement Sites and Figures of Gyeonggi Province," held at the Gyeonggi Millennium Road Gallery in the Northern Office Building of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government until September 7, is divided into three parts: "Patriotic Martyrs Who Fought to the Death," "The March 1st Movement and the Jeam-ri Massacre," and "Honoring the Independence Activists of Gyeonggi Province."

Visitors can view over 100 items including prints, photographs, newspapers, postcards, books, and videos related to anti-Japanese independence movement sites or independence activists of Gyeonggi Province, as well as more than 20 artifacts from the Japanese colonial period.

In particular, to help visitors better understand the exhibits, explanations are also provided through the smartphone docent app "Qpicker."

The exhibition is open every day from Monday to Sunday except for the closed day on September 4, and is free for all ages and genders to visit.
