Chairman Oh Se-cheol of Seocho District Council and Others Request "Minimizing Resident Damage Through Prompt Response"

Seocho-gu Council Chairman Oh Se-cheol, Vice Chairman Ahn Jong-sook, Operations Committee Chair Kang Yeo-jeong, Administrative Welfare Committee Chair Go Seon-jae, Finance and Construction Committee Chair Kim Seong-ju, and other chairpersons visited the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters on the 4th floor of the district office to encourage officials working in the 24-hour emergency duty system.

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Seocho District Council (Chairman Oh Se-cheol) received a report on the damage status caused by the heavy rain on the 8th and checked the response situation on the 11th.


On this day, the council urgently held a full meeting of all members and received a briefing on the local situation from the Safety, Construction, and Transportation Bureau Director, who is the controller of the Seocho District Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (District Mayor Jeon Seong-su).


At this meeting, the council members conveyed the residents' complaints they had heard so far to the executive agency and urged prompt and active damage recovery measures. Since the incident, council members have individually visited flood-affected areas to listen to residents' difficulties and assist with recovery.


In the afternoon of the same day, the chairman group, including Chairman Oh Se-cheol, Vice Chairman Ahn Jong-suk, Operations Committee Chair Kang Yeo-jeong, Administrative Welfare Committee Chair Go Seon-jae, and Finance and Construction Committee Chair Kim Seong-ju, visited the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters set up on the 4th floor of the district office to encourage the public officials operating the 24-hour emergency duty system.


Chairman Oh Se-cheol said, “We must minimize damage to residents through active and prompt response,” and added, “Please prepare thoroughly to prevent additional damage.” He also stated, “The council will also strive to support recovery and establish measures to prevent recurrence.”
