[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Bo-ryeong] Ahn Cheol-soo, a lawmaker mentioned as the next leader of the People Power Party, expressed the opinion that the Emergency Response Committee should be "harmonious and stable" in nature.

On the morning of the 12th, on KBS Radio's "Choi Kyung-young's Strongest Current Affairs," Ahn said, "Currently, there is a debate on whether the Emergency Response Committee should be management-oriented or innovation-oriented, as if they are opposing concepts, but I do not see them as opposing concepts," adding, "Rather, the more important thing is that the Emergency Response Committee should be harmonious and stable."

He also suggested three roles for the Emergency Response Committee to become harmonious and stable. Ahn explained, "The first role would be to end the current chaos and heal the wounds, to harmonize and unite," adding, "Secondly, since the livelihood issues are becoming increasingly difficult, it should be more proactive than anyone else in solving them, and thirdly, to prepare for the party convention in a stable manner."

Regarding Floor Leader Kwon Seong-dong's participation in the Emergency Response Committee, he emphasized "reconfirmation." Ahn said, "Wouldn't it be a better way to firmly establish leadership by asking for reconfirmation once more at the party caucus?"

He showed a negative stance toward an early party convention. Ahn said, "One of the most important roles of the ruling party right now is the National Assembly’s audit, isn't it?" adding, "We should properly conduct the audit and the regular session of the National Assembly, instill confidence in the public that their lives will improve through this, and then hold the party convention afterward."

Regarding questions about the "strategic alliance theory" with lawmaker Jang Je-won, which arose over party leadership, Ahn answered, "It has been a long time since we met."
