Professor Song Kyung-ho of Infectious Diseases at Bundang Seoul National University Hospital Appointed as Editorial Board Member of Nature Scientific Reports

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Bundang Seoul National University Hospital announced on the 11th that Professor Song Kyung-ho of the Department of Infectious Diseases has been appointed as an editorial board member of the international academic journal 'Scientific Reports.'

Scientific Reports is a sister journal of the prestigious scientific journal 'Nature,' published by the Nature Publishing Group as an online open-access journal. It covers a wide range of natural sciences including biology, physics, chemistry, and medicine.

Professor Song is a world-renowned medical expert who has published over 180 papers, including basic research and clinical trials on antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections, hospital infection control, appropriate antibiotic use management, and emerging infectious diseases. Starting in August, he will serve as an editorial board member, reviewing and making final decisions on the publication of papers in the field of infectious diseases for Scientific Reports.

Professor Song said, “Being appointed as an editorial board member of an international academic journal is an opportunity for me to dedicate myself further to the advancement of the field of infectious diseases,” and added, “I also hope to help showcase the high research capabilities of domestic researchers to the world.”
