'Hansan' Park Hoon, Yoon Jin-young, Kim Jae-young, Outstanding Performance as Joseon Reinforcements

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Actors Park Hoon, Yoon Jin-young, and Kim Jae-young steadfastly stand by Admiral Yi Sun-sin's side.

The three actors deliver impressive performances as supporting roles protecting the Joseon navy in the film Hansan: Rising Dragon (directed by Kim Han-min), which was released on the 27th of last month.

Hansan: Rising Dragon is a grand war action film depicting the Battle of Hansan, where Admiral Yi Sun-sin and the Joseon navy unite with desperate strategy and courage to defend Joseon against the advancing Japanese forces five years before the Battle of Myeongnyang. Since its release, the film has topped the box office and gained popularity.

Park Hoon, who plays Lee Un-ryong, the Okpo naval commander of the Gyeongsang Right Naval District, is a disciple of Eo Yeong-dam but respects Yi Sun-sin and is loyal to him and Joseon. He portrays a noble figure facing the Battle of Hansan with intense eyes.

Yoon Jin-young takes on the role of Song Hee-rip, Yi Sun-sin's silent right-hand man. Through Song Hee-rip, who trusts and supports Yi Sun-sin during moments of tactical dilemma, the film helps the audience receive information and become immersed from a third-party perspective.

Kim Jae-young, playing Jeong Woon, shows the brave side of a general beside Admiral Yi Sun-sin. He is a character who subdues enemies through actions rather than words and bravely confronts threats to protect the blueprints of the turtle ship.
