Entered Yonsei University Medical School Women's Restroom Four Times
"Contacted for Victim Agreement but No Response Yet"
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] A Yonsei University College of Medicine student accused of illegally filming female college students by hiding in the women's restroom has admitted to all charges.
On the 8th at 2:30 PM, Judge Gong Seongbong of the Seoul Western District Court Criminal Division 6 held the first trial for A (21), a Yonsei University College of Medicine student, who is charged with violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (filming and distribution using a camera, trespassing in a multi-use place for sexual purposes).
A is accused of entering the women's restroom at Yonsei University College of Medicine four times?on June 17, 20, 21, and last month on the 4th?and secretly filming female students 32 times with his mobile phone.
At the trial, A's defense attorney stated, "He admits to all charges and deeply reflects on his actions," to which A agreed. The defense also said, "We have contacted the victim to reach a settlement, but have not yet come to an agreement."
A's second trial date is scheduled for the 28th of next month.
