[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Hanwha Group's defense affiliates are launching support projects to improve the productivity of small and medium-sized partner companies.
Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Corporation, Hanwha Defense, and Hanwha Systems announced on the 5th that they signed a business agreement on the 4th at the Hanwha Building in Janggyo-dong, Jung-gu, with the Korea Productivity Center to promote and expand a win-win productivity management system.
The four Hanwha defense companies plan to derive innovation tasks through expert on-site diagnosis targeting 20 small and medium-sized partner companies. The derived tasks will be implemented as optimized improvement activities based on the Productivity Management System (PMS).
The Productivity Management System is a corporate management model developed by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Productivity Center. It aims to improve productivity through diagnosis and consulting in seven areas including leadership, customers, innovation, measurement, analysis, and knowledge management.
The purpose of this project is to enhance the productivity of small and medium-sized enterprises that have technological capabilities but lack systematic productivity management skills through support from large corporations. Hanwha and the Korea Productivity Center will provide consulting and cover costs for the entire process of applying the productivity improvement system.
Shin Hyun-woo, President of Hanwha Aerospace, said, "The competitiveness of partner companies is the competitiveness of 'K-Defense.' We will support our partners to have the best competitiveness and take the lead in creating a win-win ecosystem where large corporations and partners grow together based on a partnership of mutual growth."
