Life Shots and Romantic Tour at Seonseongsusang-gil, Yekki Village, and Sanseong Park
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The Seonseonghyeon Cultural Complex in Andong, Gyeongbuk, is attracting tourists with cost-effective entertainment content.
Through the ‘Logout Rest’ program operated by Andong City every weekend until August, visitors can fully enjoy fun activities such as kids' classes, tarot, hanok pubs, zombie games, and nostalgic games.
The representative programs are the zombie game and the hanok pub. The unique zombie adventure program ‘Now Our Andong’ based on the popular Netflix series ‘All of Us Are Dead’ is a game where participants run away from zombies and find a cure to escape. The chilling atmosphere and realistic zombies provide a thrilling experience that can cool down the summer heat.
Also, at the ‘Hanok Pub,’ visitors can taste various types of famous local alcohol and food all in one place.
Additionally, there are experiences such as finding your own tea leaves, ‘terrarium’ plant cultivation in transparent containers, soap making, tarot reading, and traditional games, allowing people of all ages to enjoy diverse activities.
At Sanseong Park in the Seonseonghyeon Cultural Complex, programs to enjoy the natural space are also operated. During the day, picnic set rentals, a sand playground, and an outdoor library are available, creating a space for families and couples to relax.
At night, the ‘Night Romantic Life Shot Tour’ is held against the backdrop of Sanseong Park, where professional photographers take memorable photos, offering special memories.
At the Seonseonghyeon Hanok Experience Center within the complex, visitors can also enjoy a hanok lodging experience that fully immerses them in the elegance and charm of traditional hanok houses.
In addition, at Jangkwancheong within the Seonseonghyeon Cultural Complex, visitors can try on Joseon Dynasty clothing (king, queen, queen consort, lady, magistrate, secret royal inspector, bodyguard, commoner).
Enjoy a scene from a movie with the refreshing scenery of Andongho Lake, Sanseong Park, and traditional hanok houses as the backdrop.
The attractive ‘Seonseong Water Trail,’ where you can walk on water, is also a must-see highlight. This trail is one of the nine courses of the 91 km-long Seonbi Pilgrimage Trail, where you can enjoy the spectacular views of Andongho Lake and Confucian cultural heritage together.
Nearby, Yekki Village features an interesting mural alley and a three-dimensional, realistic ‘Trick Art Photo Zone,’ adding fun and excitement. At the hanok gallery ‘Geunmindang (近民堂)’ in the village, visitors can enjoy cultural experiences and view artworks by famous and local artists.
The brewery ‘Maenggae Suldo-ga,’ which makes Jinmaek Soju using only homegrown whole wheat, is also not to be missed.
Yekki Village was selected as one of the ‘Top 6 Recommended Places to Visit in March’ under the theme ‘Energizing Family Trips’ organized by the Korea Tourism Organization.
The ‘Logout Rest’ program at Andong Seonseonghyeon Cultural Complex can be accessed by purchasing experience tickets on ‘Naver Shopping.’
An official from the city said, “We hope many tourists will have a joyful time with various sights and activities at the Seonseonghyeon Cultural Complex, which encompasses the taste, style, and fun of Andong tourism,” adding, “Starting with the Dosan area, we will strive to establish Andong, a UNESCO World Heritage city, as the nation’s top healing destination.”
