Daesun Joojo Provides Vitality to Local Cultural Scene through Active Mecenat ... Sponsors GMC Summer Music Festival 'Summer Music Festival' Promotional Poster.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Dooyul] Daesun Brewery is revitalizing the local cultural scene, which had been subdued due to COVID-19, through active patronage activities supporting culture and arts.

Daesun Brewery is sponsoring the ‘Summer Music Festival’ led by Geum Nansae, a world-renowned conductor from Busan.

The festival will be held from the 1st to the 7th at F1963, a complex cultural space in Suyeong-gu, Busan, with three sessions daily at 11 a.m., 4 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.

The special stage sponsored by Daesun Brewery will take place on the 6th at 7:30 p.m. at the outdoor courtyard stage, Center Court, within the GMC Geum Nansae Music Center at F1963.

On this special stage, the ‘New World Chamber Orchestra,’ composed of principal players from the New World Philharmonic Orchestra, will deliver beautiful melodies.

Conductor Geum Nansae will offer audiences the joy of classical music through easy and entertaining commentary.

Daesun Brewery has joined the KNN Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra Support Association ‘Musikverein’ as a corporate member to help popularize classical music and nurture talent.

Notable sponsorships include the ‘Seo Heetae Inaugural Conductor Concert’ held at Busan Citizens Hall and ‘The Four Seasons by Vivaldi & Piazzolla with Violinist Kim Eungsu’ held at Busan Cultural Center.

In June, Daesun Brewery supported the spread of classical music in the Yangsan area by sponsoring bass baritone Hwang Dongnam’s solo recital at the Yangsan Culture and Arts Center.

Daesun Brewery is also leading efforts to support local literary museums facing extinction.

Since 2020, it has been providing monthly operating funds to the literary museum of Hyangpa Lee Juhong, a writer from Busan. The museum preserves rare early 20th-century literary magazines and hosts literary seminars, lectures, and creative writing classes.

From 2008 to 2017, Daesun Brewery and its parent company BN Group also hosted the large-scale orchestra concert ‘Korea Corporate Love Music Concert.’

In recognition of over ten years of sponsorship of local festivals, concerts, and film festivals, Daesun Brewery was the only institution in Busan selected as an excellent cultural and arts sponsorship organization in 2016.

Daesun Brewery CEO Jo Woohyun said, “We support various local cultural events with the hope that Busan and Gyeongnam will become centers of culture and arts.”
