Namwon-si Sannae-myeon Bojang Association Holds Samgyetang Sharing Event for Seniors

[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jeong Young-gwon] The Sannae-myeon Community Security Council in Namwon-si, Jeonbuk (co-chairpersons Ha Jin-suk and Yang Jae-ung) announced on the 14th that they held a nutritional Samgyetang sharing event for seniors aged 85 and older in collaboration with the Sannae-myeon Youth Association to prepare for the upcoming hot summer days of Sambok.

Hosted by the Sannae-myeon Community Security Council and organized by the Sannae-myeon Youth Association and the Village Welfare Planning Group, this event was arranged to help restore energy and promote health for 68 seniors aged 85 and above who tend to lose vitality during the hot summer season.

The event involved the Sannae-myeon Youth Association personally bringing 24 seniors to local restaurants to provide Samgyetang, while for 44 seniors with mobility difficulties, members of the Community Security Council, Youth Association, and village chiefs delivered the meals directly to their homes, checking on their well-being and health status.

Lee Chang-ho, president of the Sannae-myeon Youth Association, said, “Through this event, we hope to create more opportunities to work together for welfare in the future and strive to be a leading youth association that makes Sannae-myeon a happier place.”

Ha Jin-suk, head of the Sannae-myeon Administrative Welfare Center, expressed gratitude to the Sannae-myeon Youth Association for participating in the event and stated, “We will put more effort into safety measures such as heatwave and senior health management so that the elderly can stay healthy throughout this summer.”
